Recital 2023 - World Tour!

2023 Dress Rehearsal Information:

 

Location: Midway Performing Arts Center (located between the middle school and football stadium) 

Schedule: Dress Rehearsal, Saturday 8:30am-1pm 

Doors open at 8am 

**You may leave after your dances have practiced on stage but are welcome to stay and watch the other dances **

Rehearsal Times are as follows: 

  • 8:30 am - Tuesday 4:30 Ballet/Tap       Tuesday 5:15 Jazz      Tuesday 6:00 Prek Ballet/Tap 

  • 9:30 am - Thursday 4:30 Ballet/Tap     Thursday 5:15 Jazz     Thursday 6:00 Ballet/Tap 

  • 10:30 am - Junior Company Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Competition Routines/Opener (NO COSTUMES) 

  • 11:30 am - Senior & Elite Companies  Ballet/Tap/Solos/Pointe/Competition Routines/Opener (NO COSTUMES) 

 

Please come DRESSED in your first costume, as listed above.  Hair and Make up is not required.  You are welcome to bring guests to the rehearsal. Videos and Photos are permitted during the rehearsal  please report to the PAC theatre audience area at your assigned time.  Each class will have a designated dressing area/no dads will be allowed in that area.  Thank you for your cooperation!

 

SHELLY TAYLOR PHOTOGRAPHY WILL BE SET UP AND TAKING INDIVIDUAL PICTURES THROUGHOUT DRESS REHEARSAL.  MORE SPECIFIC DETAILS TO FOLLOW AT A LATER DATE.  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY -- YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!! 

Recital 2023 Information

RECITAL IS SATURDAY, MAY 13  7:00-9:00PM

  • Dancers door open 6:15pm/Doors open at 6:30pm 

All dancers report to their dressing area between 6:15-6:30 pm.  Please be dressed in your first costume ( recital order will be given at dress rehearsal).  Dancers will be escorted to and from the stage for all performances.You are welcome to dress your child for costume changes as well as stay in the dressing area if you prefer.  Moms that are planning to go back and forth should sit on aisle seats in the rows near the back of the theatre.  There will be one entrance/exit to the band hall dressing area that will be supervised at all times.  It is a good idea to bring games/books/etc… to keep them busy. 

 

HEWITT FLORIST WILL BE SET UP IN THE LOBBY FROM 6-7PM SELLING FLOWERS FOR YOUR DANCERS AT ALL PRICE LEVELS!! 

Costume/ Makeup Details:

  • Make up is encouraged for all dancers….the bright lights tend to wash our their faces. 

  • Hair must be worn in a bun for all ballet/pointe/company dances.

  • Tap & Jazz hairstyle is your choice—most leave it in a bun for the entire evening. 

  • No jewelry or watches. 

  • Pink tights/pink or white ballet shoes for ballet routines. 

  • Tan tights/black jazz shoes and tap shoes for jazz/tap routines.  Please double knot tap shoes that have laces. 

  • Secure all headpieces with lots of bobby pins.   

Awards:

  • Awards ceremony will follow the last Dance.

  • Awards will be presented for those receiving their 5 year awards and up. 

  • All other dancers will receive their award certificate during their last class before the recital. 

  • All dancers will remain in the dressing room to be dismissed from there after the recital to their parents.  You are welcome to return to stage for pictures.
